SHIPPING SERVICES

All items shipped in the UK include free shipping!

Your UK deliveries will be sent via the Royal Mail Second Class signed for service, you will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. All orders of A5 prints, stickers and greetings cards will be sent by standard Second Class without tracking. This is due to the low value of the item; second class postage enables me to keep postage free for you. If you wish to have tracking on these items let me know before you purchase and I will arrange a shipping upgrade for you.

International orders are sent via the Royal Mail International Tracked service, my shipping costs are based on these prices as of September 2025. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Royal Mail advertises this as taking 7 business days to reach its destination. Please be aware this may vary due to the time of year or strain on postal services. The 7 business days is not a guarantee. 

READY TO SHIP ITEMS

These are pieces that I have ready made and waiting to find their new homes. Once a ready to ship item has been ordered it will be dispatched from Betty & The Lovecats within 1-4 days. Any items without ‘made to order’ in the title are ready to ship.

MADE TO ORDER ITEMS

These are items that I don't make until an order has been placed. This means there's a 2 to 6 weeks turnaround on your order. I will usually have your piece finished and shipped well within the 6 weeks deadline. However, depending on my workload at the time, I may need the full six weeks to make and fulfil your order. 

PACKING MATERIALS

Betty & The Lovecats ships all items in cardboard boxes or cardboard backed envelopes. Pieces are individually wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap; the cardboard box your piece ships in is then filled with shredded cardboard to keep the item safe and reduce plastic usage. 

The shredded cardboard comes from my home and donations from friends and family. I shred the cardboard in my studio to save packing material costs and give the cardboard a second chance to be useful before it is recycled. 

USA TARIFF INFORMATION

Most of Betty & The Lovecats pieces are exempt from the recent changes affecting import tariffs to the USA. This is because they are original Artworks.

Items affected by tariffs include stickers, greeting cards, jewellery boxes and wooden trays. Everything else is exempt and you have not paid any tariffs on those items if they are included in your recent order.

If your order contains items affected by the tariffs, you have already paid the 10% fee in the cost of your order.

I use Duty Paid shipping, meaning I will pay the tariff on your behalf before it is sent from the UK to the USA. So you don't need to worry about any additional fees when you receive your order. You will receive an email with this information if you are a customer based in America once you have placed an order.

CUSTOMS AND DUTIES

For orders shipped to the US, customs fees and duties will appear as a line item on your final order. I will ship your item to you using the Royal Mail DDP service, meaning you should not have to pay the new tariffs upon receiving your order. You have paid them at the point of purchase. 

For the rest of the world Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
